When lilac flowers are in full bloom plant corn\, beans and squash." Common garden folklore or common sense? Phenology in the garden is simply observing nature   from bud burst to bird migration and everything in between. As gardeners\, phenology can help guide the planting schedule\, along with other practical information. Join Whiteside County Master Gardeners and learn to garden by the signs. Grab your Webster's! It's time for Plant Phenology will take place 10AM on Saturday February 12\, 2022\, at the Sterling Extension Office\, 12923 Lawrence Rd. Sterling\, IL. You must be registered to attend\, register online at: go.illinois.edu/whitesidesaturdays or by calling Mary Nelson at (815) 632-3611. Registration is limited to 25 participants\, social distancing and masks will be required.
