The program will be presented by Heinz Suppan who teaches German and history at Marquette Academy in Ottawa, as well as at Joliet Junior College. The 1832 Indian Creek Massacre occurred soon after the beginning of the Black Hawk War when settlers dammed up Indian Creek, about 13 miles north of Ottawa, IL , depriving the Potawatomi tribe of their fish supply.
