Learn to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health illnesses and substance use disorders in youth at an Illinois Extension training, offered in partnership with Sinnissippi Centers, Inc. This five-hour training, plus self-paced online pre-work, gives adults who interact with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care. The cost is $30 and training is open to the public. Register by August 20 at go.illinois.edu/YMHFAWhiteside or by calling 815-632-3611.
