SVCC Student Activities - Sharon Irving

In honor of Black History Month:  Sauk Valley Community College presents  America's Got Talent Contestant & Radio City Music Hall Performer Sharon Iriving.  Popular & Faith-based music Singer, Songwriter, Poet Sharon Irving is the daughter of famed jazz musician and former musical director for Miles Davis, Robert Irving III, and the granddaughter of the late Reverend Dr. Morris H. Tynes, noted civil rights leader, writer, singer and pastor.  She wrote her first spoken word piece on justice during her freshman year, and realized her calling was to be a "voice for the voiceless" through her words and music.  Don't miss this opportunity to see her live.
