250 Anniversary, Honoring Veterans, Tribute to Greatest Generation

The Franklin Grove Area Historical Society is having a 250th anniversary celebration. It will honor all veterans with a tribute to the greatest generation. May 15, 16, 17 2026. The location is 1715 Whitney Rd. Franklin Grove IL. at the Chaplin Creek Village. This will be a WWII reenactment on one of the largest land area battlefields in the mid-west. The 15th will be an education day for area Jr. high students. The 16th & 17th will be open to the public. There will be military equipment displays, military camp displays, vendors, food trucks, and two battles each day.
